The Tandoor - the fine dining restaurant chain in China from foresight group the USD
500 million conglomerate wins the 'Best New Restaurant - 2008 Reader's Choice' for
its Guangzhou restaurant from - that's - magazine, one of the popular English
magazine in China. The Tandoor - Guangzhou was inaugurated in 18th July 2008 and in
just two months it has captured the attention of connoisseurs of fine Indian
cuisine.

Commenting on this, Mr Sanjeev Goswami, Managing Director - Hospitality Division of

of the leading restaurant chain as The Tandoor dishes out authentic Indian cuisine

The Tandoor - Guangzhou is the 4th in the series that is revolutionizing the way the
Chinese have their favourite Indian food. The first Tandoor was opened in October
1994 in Shanghai in Jin Jiang hotel - one of the popular 5-Star hotels in Shanghai
owned by the Shanghai government. The 2nd Tandoor was inaugurated in Chengdu the
capital of Sichuan province in early 2001. The 3rd Tandoor was inaugurated in
Beijing in the year 2002.

The Tandoor - Guangzhou saw the presence of consuls from Denmark, Finland and

Meticulous planning and keen attention to detail has gone in the venture to appeal
to the tastes of food enthusiasts. The design and dcor of the restaurant are themed
on historical Silk R Road running between China and India through which traveled
cuisines and scholars like Hieun Tsang and Fa Hien in the 4th and 7th century AD.
The entire floor of the restaurant is etched with the geographical map of Silk R
Road.

The flagship Tandoor - Shanghai has the distinction of receiving the 26th
International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry (New Millenium Award)
in the year 2001. The Tandoor is also the winner of International New Millenium
Golden Award, Beirut, Lebanon, The Golden Award for Quality, Paris, France, Best
Indian Restaurant, Zagat Review among several other prestigious awards.

The hospitality division also has a Multi Speciality restaurant The Spice Market at
Shanghai. This restaurant specializes in south east asian cuisine - Malaysian, Thai
and Indonesian.
